Terms for using this website
These terms apply to mleaccounting.com, operated by MLE Accounting Ltd (referred to as “we”, “us” and “our”). By using the website, you agree to use it lawfully and in accordance with these terms.
Purpose of the website
We provide general information about our accountancy, taxation, payroll, workplace pensions and business support services. Website content is intended as an introduction and general guide, not advice tailored to your own circumstances.
Tax and financial information
Tax law, reporting obligations, thresholds and guidance may change. Although we aim to keep material accurate, we cannot promise that every page reflects the latest rule or is suitable for every reader. Please check current official guidance and obtain professional advice before making decisions based on website information.
Examples, explanations and any indicative prices are for general information. They do not constitute a binding quotation or a guarantee of tax savings.
Becoming a client
Viewing this website, requesting a quote or contacting us does not establish an accountant-client relationship. Before commencing professional work, MLE Accounting will provide a Letter of Engagement and the applicable Terms of Business. These will explain the agreed services, fees, relevant deadlines and the respective responsibilities of MLE Accounting and the client.
Any work outside the agreed scope will be discussed and agreed separately. Quotations are subject to review of your requirements and, where applicable, client acceptance and identity checks. The Pricing page also explains how professional engagement terms apply.
External links and software providers
Our website may link to HMRC, Companies House, QuickBooks, Moneysoft, NEST and other external organisations. These sites are operated by their respective providers, who control their own content, availability, privacy notices and terms. A link is supplied for convenience and does not mean we control or endorse all external information.
Names, logos and trade marks of third parties remain the property of their respective owners.
Permitted website use
You may view and use this website for lawful personal or business purposes. Please do not misuse it by attempting unauthorised access, interfering with its operation, introducing harmful software or reproducing substantial content for commercial use without the appropriate permission.
Copyright and intellectual property
Text, images, design elements and other materials on the website may be protected by copyright or other intellectual property rights. Except where the law permits, you should not reproduce or distribute them without permission from the relevant rights holder. You may keep or print reasonable extracts for your own reference.
Email enquiries and confidentiality
We welcome initial enquiries by email at martin@mleaccounting.com. Ordinary email is not always a secure method of transmitting confidential information. Please do not send identity documents, detailed payroll records, banking details or other sensitive records until we have agreed an appropriate secure method of exchange.
Our handling of personal information is described in the separate Privacy Notice. Details of cookies and similar technologies are in the Cookie Policy.
Availability and changes
We may update, suspend or change the website and its content without notice. We aim to maintain access but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Responsibility and liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for losses caused by reliance on general website information instead of advice specifically agreed for your circumstances, or by interruptions outside our reasonable control.
Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Applicable law
These website terms are intended to be governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory rights that apply to visitors. Disputes will be subject to the courts with jurisdiction under applicable law.
